Hi, Iām Jade!
Iām a writer + abortion access expert by trade, town gossip by nature.
In another life, I worked in media and digital campaigns for feminist political organizations. In this one, Iām a writing teacher for undergraduates, a budding feminist historian, and a freelance writer, designer, and strategist for abortion funds across the East Coast.
I hold a Masterās degree in Creative Nonfiction and Gender & Sexuality Studies, and a Bachelorās degree in Womenās, Gender, & Sexuality Studies and Political Communication. I study and follow SWANA womenās movements, Iām a former union organizer, and Iām proud to be ātoo feministā for those unwilling to fucking think.
My writing has been featured in Prism, If Not Now, and Common Forms. My words and takes have been featured by the New York Times, Teen Vogue, Variety, Slate, HuffPost, Prism, and more.
My whole deal
Iām a Gemini sun, Cancer moon, Cancer rising. Iām a MUVA to my 2-year old Ocicat, Kismet, Iām a trained contemporary ballet dancer, and I order my bookshelf by color (I know). I live and breathe nonfictionā¦to the point where my advisor in grad school begged me to read some magical realism to improve my prose. I write what Iām into, what Iām interested in, and what Iām pulled to. I am very comfortable with contradictions, complicated people, and winding conversations.

While my particular expertise lies in the realms of transnational feminist analysis, reproductive and sexual health care, marketing, women in music, and U.S. history, I like to use this platform to explore whatever catches my fancy. Currently, thatās the production of whiteness, the production of femininity, femonationalism, and SWANA feminisms in a time of growing Christofascism and white supremacy.
