This reminded me of the 'discourse' on the hijab and how it is used as a tool for the political instrumentalisation of Muslim women - as if they were incapable of being in charge of their own decisions.

Great points on transnational feminism, especially with the examples you picked!

I love this Jade, thank you for sharing! It reminds me of the transnational feminism course I took in college that shifted how I viewed feminism forever. I also have a book on the Rojava that I’m exciting to read next, I’ve always felt inspired by Kurdish women!
